In Thalassa, I wanted to show a woman who rises gently out of the water — not as a goddess, but as the first quiet breath of life. I imagined her emerging from the emptiness of the desert, carrying with her the softness and clarity of the sea. Her body is made of water, light, and movement, a reminder that life begins in fluidity. As she takes form, everything around her shifts from stillness to possibility. For me, she represents that moment when matter and spirit meet, when something new starts to exist. Through her, the desert turns into an ocean and silence turns into life. This painting is my way of capturing the beginning of everything.
